Individual therapy, couples counseling, case management support, and LICSW clinical supervision — delivered via telehealth across Washington State.
I'm Kristen E. Jacobson, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State. My career spans government child welfare, drug court, medical social work, school-based practice, and many years in leadership roles across large organizations. That breadth shapes how I work — I'm a generalist by training and by disposition, which means I meet people where they actually are, not where a narrow specialty says they should be.
My clinical approach integrates CBT, DBT, and ACT in a solution-focused framework. I help people understand what's driving their patterns, build practical skills, and move toward a life that actually fits them. I specialize in working with adults 35 and older who are navigating complexity — relationship stress, life transitions, grief, caregiver burden, identity shifts, and the weight of taking care of everyone but themselves.
I also offer couples therapy for partners ready to do the work together, and case management services for individuals and families who need hands-on support coordinating care outside of a therapy relationship — including seniors managing the logistics of daily life.
As a Washington State approved clinical supervisor, I work with associates pursuing their LICSW and other mental health licenses who want more than checkbox supervision — supervision is available anywhere, with no geographic restriction. If you're looking for someone who will challenge you to think clinically, diagnose accurately, document well, and navigate insurance confidently, I'd like to connect.
All services are delivered via Zoom — video or audio, your preference.
